Q: In "Locate Me" mode, which of the two figures of "ACCURACY" is which? A: The first figure denotes the horizontal, the second figure denotes the vertical accuracy. Q: When walking, I nearly always see a speed of 0.00 m/s, why?
A: While we don't really know (Swiss Grid gets this kind of data from the iPhones location services) we assume that you need at least to walk if not run to see a speed above 0.00 m/s. If you're on a bike (or in a car etc.), the speed display works just fine.
Q: What does "LAST FIX" mean?
A: Its the age of the last update from location service the application has got, shown in seconds.
Q: When starting the device or resetting the coordinates via options, I always 600000 / 200000. How so?
A: With this, we pay some respect to the origins of CH1903. The Swiss Grid coordinate system has been defined not by an origin of 0 / 0 but of 600000 / 200000 which has been positioned on the old observatory in Berne... but hey, please continue to read en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss_grid, thanks ;)
